Delete your CodeOrbit account
CodeOrbit (Android package com.codeorbit.app) is published by Timmie Hemmingsson, trading as Vireo. This page explains how to delete your account and everything stored against it. You do not need to be signed in to read it, and you do not need anyone’s permission to do it.
If you can still sign in
Deletion is self-service on both platforms, and immediate once it goes through. One thing stops it: a subscription that is active or in a trial — see below.
On the web: open Settings, go to the Account tab, and use Delete account in the Danger zone. You will be asked to confirm once.
In the Android app: open Settings from the profile tab, scroll to Danger zone, and tap Delete account. You will be asked to confirm once.
There is no waiting period and no support ticket in between. When the confirmation succeeds, the data is already gone.
If you cannot sign in
Email support@aver-web.se from the address you registered with, and say that you want your CodeOrbit account deleted. The request is actioned manually, and we aim to finish inside 30 days. The limit the GDPR sets is one month from when we receive it (Art. 12(3)), extendable by two further months for a complex request — 30 days is our own, slightly tighter, target.
Write from the registered address if you possibly can. It is the only thing that shows the account is yours, and without it there will have to be a slower exchange to establish that before anything is deleted.
What is deleted
All of it. Your login and email address, your profile and username, your XP, level and badges, your progress and challenge results, your leaderboard entries, your saved notification preferences, any feedback you sent and the screenshots attached to it, and your subscription record.
Deletion is not a flag on a row that stays behind. The documents are removed and the uploaded images are deleted from object storage in the same request.
What is kept, and for how long
Payment records are the exception, and not by choice. Where a purchase was made, Stripe retains the transaction record under Swedish bookkeeping law (bokföringslagen 7 kap. 2 §), which requires accounting material to be kept until the end of the seventh year after the calendar year in which the financial year closed. That record is held by Stripe as its own controller and is not linked back to a CodeOrbit account that no longer exists.
Server logs containing IP addresses are retained by Cloudflare for a short operational window and expire on their own.
If you have an active subscription
Cancel it first. While a subscription is active or in a trial the deletion is refused, because removing the account would leave you paying for something that no longer exists and with no way to reach the cancellation screen. In any other state — a lapsed payment among them — the refusal does not apply and the deletion goes through.
Cancel a web subscription from Upgrade, or an Android subscription from Google Play’s own subscriptions screen. Once it has ended, deletion works normally. Deleting the account cancels nothing on its own, so check that billing has actually stopped — a successful deletion is not proof that it has.
Take a copy first, if you want one
You can export everything CodeOrbit holds about you as a JSON file before deleting it — on the web, from the Privacy tab in Settings. Afterwards there is nothing left to export, so the order matters.
