Refunds
The short version: if premium was not what you expected, ask within 14 days and you get your money back. No justification needed.
Your right to withdraw
Under distansavtalslagen (2005:59) you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason — goods, services and digital content alike. Premium is a digital service, which matters for when the right can fall away rather than for whether you have it.
That right can fall away for a digital service, but only where the service has been fully performed and you expressly asked for it to start and acknowledged that starting it costs you the right — three conditions, not one, and starting immediately is not by itself any of them. CodeOrbit does not rely on that exception at all. Within 14 days, you get a full refund regardless of how much you used it.
After 14 days
Cancelling stops the next charge and premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. That period is not refunded by default — but the Terms promise it back in two cases, and those override this page: if you reject a change to the Terms, and if we close a paid account for any reason other than your breach.
There are more exceptions, and asking costs nothing: if you were charged after cancelling, if the service was substantially broken for a meaningful stretch of your subscription, or if you were charged twice, email and it will be refunded. Nothing on this page limits konsumentköplagen (2022:260) — if the service is faulty or is not what you were sold, the remedies it gives you apply whatever this page says.
For an annual subscription cancelled early because of a genuine problem, a pro-rata refund of the unused months is reasonable and will be offered.
How to ask
Bought on the web (Stripe). support@aver-web.se from the address on your account, saying roughly when you subscribed. No form, no template.
Bought in the Android app (Google Play). Google processes those payments and refunds them, so it has to go through Google Play → Subscriptions or Google’s refund policy for the EEA. If Google declines and you think that is wrong, email anyway — it can be sorted out directly.
How long it takes
Requests are answered within 3 working days. An approved Stripe refund appears on your statement within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank. Google’s timelines are Google’s.
What happens to your account
A refund ends premium. Your account, progress, XP and badges stay exactly as they are — refunding does not delete anything, and you can subscribe again later without losing history.
If you also want your data gone, that is separate — and while a subscription is active or in a trial it is refused. Cancelling does not end it immediately: it stays active until the period you have paid for runs out, and only then does deletion work. In any other state — a lapsed payment among them — the deletion goes through, and nothing here cancels anything with Stripe or Google Play, so check that billing has actually stopped before you delete. Take the refund first, then cancel, then delete: Settings → Account → Delete account. Take the refund first — not because deleting destroys the payment, but because it takes away the account we would answer you through. The charge itself survives: Stripe holds the transaction record under Swedish bookkeeping law (bokföringslagen 7 kap. 2 §), which requires accounting material to be kept until the end of the seventh year after the calendar year in which the financial year closed, and a refund is issued against that charge, not against a CodeOrbit account. If you have already deleted, write to the support address above with the date and the amount.
